SCHEDULE

Friday, October 9: 1:00–6:00 PM (Yes, 1:00 pm! Kids get to sleep in during fall break:)

Saturday, October 10: 1:00–8:00 PM

Public Performance: Saturday, October 10: 7:00–8:30 PM

Miscast Cabaret is a concert-style performance where performers sing musical theater songs meant for characters they would not traditionally play. Think gender-bending, age and character type twists, unexpected casting, and fresh, funny takes on favorite Broadway songs.

HOW IT WORKS

Students will rehearse on Friday & Saturday. (See schedule above.) Saturday late afternoon, kids can get ready for the show at the theater, hang out with friends, eat pizza, do their hair, get dressed and have fun together before the audience comes:

SOLOS & GROUP SONGS

Performers can do one solo song, up to 2 minutes long. (Kids are not required to perform a solo but can still participate. Fun group songs from other shows will be added as well). 

Songs are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. If your student has a song picked already, you can establish that at the time of enrollment. Kids are encouraged to enroll early so their song is not taken by someone else.

Anyone who has a solo should come with their song totally rehearsed, memorized and ready to go.

We will add some fun group songs from previous shows so kids can be on stage as much as possible.

All ages and experience levels are welcome to participate. Solos, duets, and small group songs are welcome also.
